WOODEN TILT SLIDE DOORS
The Livingwood Windows Tilt & Slide timber doors are among the most versatile on the market. With our standard range we are able to produce a product up to 5 metres wide and 2.4 metres high.
double or triple glazed tilt & slide doors
Unlike traditional sliding doors our range utilises a dual position system which is particularly useful in balcony situations or where the door is the only means of ventilation in the room. This style of door acts very similarly to a giant tilt and turn window when in its first tilt position. With the handle in its second position the door moves out into the room and slides past the fixed light on the inside to open up 50% of the opening. Please note that tilt slide doors cannot have an external handle.
All doors can be either double or triple glazed and can have the addition of aluminium cladding as per our window range. They are designed to blend seamlessly with the windows and other doors you order from us to create a cohesive design.
There are a number of different opening options, please contact us to see if the design you want is possible in your opening size.
Livingwood Windows timber tilt and slide doors are an ideal option where a sliding door is required in combination with background ventilation. The standard threshold design has a step to allow the ironmongery to be mounted on an internal track, face mounted to the door. Tilt slides cannot have a flush threshold and this is why they are often used in situations where a step up on to the balcony is common place.
Tilt slides can be specified with trickle ventilation to comply with the relevant building regulation.
The Livingwood tilt slide door can be specified with a second set of acoustic seals, this also improves the air tightness (greater than 600Pa).
Livingwood tilt slide doors are available with a number of different tilt and turn windows handle option, please consult our office for options.

We needed an elegant replacement for doors which form a prominent feature of our bungalow facing south-west overlooking the sea. Draught resistance and triple glazing were key requirements and the Tilt and Slide door from Livingwood Windows ticks all of the boxes. The recommended specialist fitters took great pains to ensure that the installation met with our needs and went smoothly.
