TIMBER FRENCH DOORS

At Livingwood Windows & Doors we offer a fantastic range of inward and outward opening French timber doors, designed and manufactured for long-lasting security and performance for your home. With a versatile range of frames and glazing to choose from you can select almost any style of French door and frame configuration to match your property’s existing look and feel.

manufactured from only the
very highest quality materials

Our wooden French doors can be configured to combinations of the following specification.

  • Timber or Timber aluminium clad
  • Inward or Outward opening
  • Standard, Double or Triple glazed

Our doors are designed to be both aesthetically pleasing and also achieve some of the best thermal performance of any comparable door system on the market today.

Manufactured from only the highest quality materials. Unlike many doors, all timber is laminated and graded to remove knots and give enhanced dimensional stability. The removal of the knots also creates an enhanced paint finish or a better base for clear lacquer internally or stained finishes. The seals are designed for the harsh Scandinavian climate and will remain airtight even after being shut for long periods.

All doors are supplied fully factory finished with a spray applied micro porous paint system that enables the timber to breathe and subsequently results in a paint finish that is guaranteed for 5 years (stains 2 years). Due to the advanced spraying facilities and the quality of timber used, our paint finish is one of the best currently available.

Aluminium Cladding

All our ranges have the ability to be clad in aluminium. Sometimes referred to as a composite door, this creates a product that is virtually maintenance free while still benefiting from the enhanced thermal performance of a timber door.

This spec is available as both double and triple glazed, and in any standard RAL colour.

A full range of non-standard shapes and sizes are available as per our timber range although please note that round and curved head doors are not possible in aluminium cladding.

The choice of aluminium cladding enables the possibility of a two colour option at a small additional cost.

Glazing

The glazing packages available are all based around the cutting edge technology.

  • Standard glass is low e coatings and float glass. (needs clarifying)
  • Double glazed units achieve a centre pane U value of 1.0W/m²K.

Technical details and drawings

The triple-glazed tilt and turn windows you supplied look beautiful and work really well. We have had excellent service from your company, especially at the selection stage and in sorting out a few snags after installation to a very high standard. It's not often you can say that about the construction industry. So thank you for that.
