At Livingwood we specialise in three different types of wooden windows: the timber flush casement window systems, which are based upon a typical Scandinavian design, allowing for more light and better thermal conductivity; the wooden tilt and turn windows, often referred to as German-style windows that open into a room; and wooden sliding sash windows engineered from redwood and are perfect for refurbishment work or installation for unique new-build projects.Anchor
Manufactured from the highest quality materials
Unlike many windows you’ll find on the market, all the timber we use to create our products is laminated and graded to remove knots and provide enhanced stability for our frames. By removing all unnecessary knots from our timber we can also provide an enhanced paint finish and a better base for lacquer and stained finishes. Our paint finishes are guaranteed for five years and our stain finishes also come with a two-year guarantee.
Redwood sourced from the Arctic Circle
All our timber is sourced, as standard, from the slow-growing Redwood of the Arctic Circle. Our timber is laminated and graded so the two external faces have almost no knots whatsoever; resulting in a paint finish that’s second to none. Depending on the window type, the ironmongery is either PN from Denmark or ASSA from Sweden.
FLUSH CASEMENT WINDOWS - TIMBER & ALU CLAD
The Livingwood timber flush casement window system has been honed over the last few decades to create a range that is both aesthetically pleasing but also achieves excellent thermal performance.
WOODEN TILT AND TURN WINDOWS
The Livingwood timber inward open tilt and turn windows range is sometimes referred to as a German style window. This type of window opens into the room, tilting first (hinged at the bottom) then turning into the room as a side hung window.
SLIDING WOODEN SASH WINDOWS
Livingwood offer two types of sliding sash window. Both are made from engineered redwood and come fully finished in any standard RAL colour.
Now that our doors are installed, I thought I should go on record by saying how much we appreciate having them and how much they are admired by all who see them. We are grateful to you and your colleagues for giving us such prompt service and for making the whole experience so easy and striaghtforward. The advice and suggestions you made in the initial stages probably prevented us from making mistakes in our choices. Your follow-up service in dealing with minor snagging is also appreciated. We would not hesitate to recommend you to other people.
