Thermax Ultra Tilt & Turn Triple Glazed Windows

Benefits of the Thermax Ultra Tilt & Turn Window:

The inward open tilt and turn Thermax Ultra offers one of the most energy efficient windows currently on sale. Offered by Livingwood Windows, Thermax Ultra is one of the few systems available on the market achieving the very highest Passive House standards. The Thermax Ultra window contains a very dense insulation material that unlike others on the market does not absorb moisture, thus preventing damage to the frame. Like all our tilt and turn windows Thermax Ultra benefits from the ability to be manufactured with very large opening sizes and in any RAL colour internally or externally.

Energy saving: Tilt & Turn Triple Glazed Windows

The Thermax Ultra range of tilt and turn window from Livingwood Windows enables the designer to achieve windows that on sunlit elevations can actually have a beneficial effect to heat loss.

The standard glazing package is two insulated 18mm glazing spacers with two low E coatings and argon gas, achieving a centre pane U value of 0.5 W/m2K. In addition to this we can introduce options to reduce solar gain, reduce noise levels or laminate glass for safety.

The hinge system is from German manufacturer Roto and offers among other options the ability to tilt first and lock the window in a safety restricted position.

The Thermax window is available in all configurations of Livingwood Windows tilt and turn systems. Sloping heads flying mullions, fixed lights and multi banks of fixed and opening windows.

Tilt and turn window

The window opens inwards, in two different ways – the window opens fully inwards, hinged at the side, or tilts a little inwards from the top, into a ventilation position of 100 to 200 mm, depending on the window height, plus ‘micro ventilation’. The permitted load on closures is max. 130 kg.

Turn window

Traditional window that opens fully inwards and can also be used as an evacuation exit, if necessary. The permitted load on sash is max. 130 kg.

Tilt window

The window tilts inwards from the top, but only a little, to allow ventilation. The permitted load on sash is max. 130 kg.

Non-opening window

This is the most inexpensive window that lets in light. The glass unit is fitted right into the jamb and the window cannot be opened

Technical specification of the window:

  • Cross sections: jamb 88x80; frame 88x69;
  • Timber: FSC certified Redwood/pine A1 to A3 with Purenit thermal break material
  • Ironmongery: Roto tilt & Turn system, Hoppe handles;
  • Glass: triple glazed 4/18/4/18/4, 2 low E coatings, insulated glazing spacers & argon gas as standard, achieving a centre pane U value of 0.5 W/m2K.
