Thermal Timber Windows

Benefits of the New Thermal Window:

  • Practical tilt and/or turn functions combined in a single window;
  • Additional thermal insulation layer in timber profile;
  • Overall U-value 0.8 W/m²K;
  • Easy maintenance and cleaning;
  • Amazing choice of design.

Energy saving: Thermal Timber Windows
The Livingwood Thermal window is made of special high-quality composite timber profiles with additional thermal insulation. The insulation material is added to the profile.

Tilt and turn thermal window
The window opens inwards, in two different ways - the window opens fully inwards, hinged at the side, or tilts a little inwards from the top, into a ventilation position of 100 to 200 mm, depending on the window height, plus 'micro ventilation'.
The permitted load on sash is max. 130 kg.

Thermal Turn window
Traditional window that opens fully inwards and can also be used as an evacuation exit, if necessary.
The permitted load on sash is max. 130 kg.

Thermal Tilt window
The window tilts inwards from the top, but only a little, to allow ventilation. The permitted load on sash is max. 130 kg.

Non-opening thermal window
This is the most inexpensive window that lets in light. The glass unit is fitted right into the jamb and the window cannot be opened.

Technical specification of the Thermal Timber Windows  :

  • The window tilts inwards from the top, but only a little, to allow ventilation.
  • Cross sections: jamb 78x78; frame 78x78;
  • Post between panes, vertical 105x78; horizontal 78x78; tenon-jointed window bar 54x78 and 83x78;
  •  Laminated pinewood A1 to A3 with thermal brake;
  • The timber is impregnated with Teknos wood preservative produced in Finland;
  • Ironmongery: GU Unijet hinge system, Hoppe handles;
  • Glass: triple-glazed (40 mm) glass unit, with options as, argon, energy-saving spacer.

For achieving the best results in thermal windows we are using a triple glass sealed unit by a French manufacturer, Saint-Gobain. It is possible to add complementary functions to a sealed unit according to the user's needs: safety, noise insulation, anti-solar glass etc.

If multiple sash's are combined into the same frame, it is possible to have a window without a post between (fl ying mullion). In that case, the passive frame will only open to the side and the active frame will open both to the side as well as tilt from the top.
