The advantages of our Sliding Sash Window:
The Livingwood sliding sash window design ensures that windows have ideal weather performance even on stormy days. When opening our window the sashes are separated, thereby avoiding wear on the weather strip. When closing the window the sashes are pressed against the weather strip, allowing the window to shut very tightly.
Windows are fitted with Torso balance springs and with a handle on the bottom sash. For windows with an openable top sash the handle is fitted on the top rail. The bottom sash has the option to tilt inwards in order to allow easy cleaning of the bottom sash.
The window can be combined with transoms, a fixed light and fixed sash. Ogee mouldings are applied to the inside is applied to the inside of the sash profiles. For extra decoration the top frame can be fitted with decorative horns on the outside.
The long life of wood is guaranteed by the use of slow-grown Scandinavian Pine and the GORI treatment system. Double glazed sealed units are used to maximise energy saving and noise reduction levels. Anti-solar glass is available as an optional extra.
